Credit Report Monitoring

Credit is a part of everyday life. You have the right to know what is being reported about you to others. A credit report is often the main piece of information that determines whether or not you will be able to obtain a credit card, take out a loan, purchase a home, get a job, rent an apartment or complete other important financial transactions. You need to ensure that all of the facts on your credit report are true and correct. You don't want to wait around to find out what others already know and are already reporting about you to other businesses. Plus, you don't want to find out about Identity Fraud from a bill collector or bank looking for payment on fraudulent accounts.

Upon StreetSmart receiving your request you will receive your personal copy of your credit report. This report will contain the following information for you to review:

  • A list of all your outstanding balances (including mortgages) and late or delinquent accounts.
  • A report stating credit limits, payments, balances and payment history.
  • A summary of who has requested and reviewed your credit report and the date they did so.
  • Your credit report may also contain a list of names, addresses, and previous employers associated with your credit history.

Members will receive an updated copy of their credit report every six months.

Once you have your credit report it will be important to keep updated as to what changes have been made on it throughout the year. This is why an important part of your service includes automatic updates. These updates will be provided to you automatically and will be in the form of either a new copy of your credit report or a simple listing of any address changes or new lines of credit reported since you last received notification. If there are no changes to your credit report you may only be sent a notice indicating that nothing new had been placed on your report since you last reviewed it.

By staying informed and updated you will be able to maintain constant vigilance of your credit history. This in turn will provide you a head start on identifying potential fraud or errors that could prevent you from getting the credit you deserve.

Your credit report includes data from a major national credit bureau and will provide you with a current picture of your credit status. If you need assistance understanding any part of that report or you should find discrepancies on the report feel free to call any one of our trained ACB certified representatives. They will be happy to help you either understanding the report or correcting errors. In the event of suspected fraud your representative will act fast in directing and assisting you in the proper procedures to take. We want you to know that we are here for you.
